Statement of Intent
Institutions
I can assure that my documentary posters will
stay within the guidelines of the ASA as it will just be a footballer on a
football pitch either playing or posing with a football. So there will be no
graphic or inappropriate content included. The documentary would be aired at
7:30pm to 8:30pm on a Wednesday evening exclusively on BBC Three with their
being some strong language involved. My posters will stay within the guidelines
because I want my target audience to be attracted towards my documentary and
not be put off by the posters as this would go against the ASA and my target
audience wouldn’t be impressed at all.
Representation
The
characters in my documentary posters will be represented in a positive way as
my documentary is based on the rise of a new football club trying to do their
best to work up the English divisions with the aim of Premier League football
in the near future. The posters will be built around an active, sporty and
motivational representation to make sure that the characters in my posters are being
represented in the most positive way as I can make them. My posters will all be
represented in a different but positive approach as I want to show dynamism and
creativity in my products.
Audience and Media Language
In order
to attract my target audience, I will include in my poster’s footballers
playing and posing with a football on a football pitch this would indicate to
my target audience that this is a football documentary and it would attract
people that are interested in sport. Also, in my posters I will have a big and
bold title to immediately attract the eyes of my target audience. Taglines will
be included to with the date and time of my documentary, so my target audience
knows where and when to watch the programme. The colours that I will include are
going to be colours that attract sports and football fans, for example red and
blue. The age of my target audience is 16–25-year-olds.
